Junior Ambassador Program Overview

 

Meet Mali Lord

Mali is a Junior at The Buckley School in Los Angeles and our first Junior Ambassador. She is the elected Secretary of her school, serves on the Student Leaders for Service Committee, a School Ambassador, a Communications Intern, and the VP of the Pre-Med Club. Mali is passionate about our cause as her close family members are cancer thrivers. In addition to Mali's service work, she is also an intern for a well-known surgeon in Beverly Hills.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

I. Introduction

The Cancer Cartel Junior Ambassador Program is a vibrant and purpose-driven initiative, dedicated to empowering young individuals who are passionate about making a profound impact in the fight against the financial burden of cancer. Our primary mission is to raise and gift funds to cancer warriors facing the overwhelming financial impact of cancer. This program provides a unique opportunity for high school or college students to become active advocates, leaders, and ambassadors in our collective effort to ease the financial strain on those affected by cancer.

II. Program Objectives

The Cancer Cartel Junior Ambassador Program seeks to achieve the following objectives:

1. Financial Support: Raise funds through various activities and initiatives to gift to cancer warriors and their families, alleviating the significant financial burdens associated with cancer treatment.

2. Raise Awareness: Educate peers and communities about the financial challenges faced by cancer warriors and the importance of providing support during their journey.

3. Advocacy for Change: Advocate for policies and programs that can ease the financial burden on cancer patients and enhance access to quality care.

4. Community Engagement: Collaborate with your schools, and communities to build partnerships and strengthen our collective commitment to supporting cancer warriors.

5. Personal Growth: Offer young individuals the opportunity for personal growth, leadership development, and a sense of fulfillment by making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.

III. Program Components

1. Fundraising Initiatives: Junior Ambassadors will create, organize and participate in fundraising events, campaigns, and activities to raise funds that will be gifted to cancer warriors.

2. Advocacy and Awareness: Ambassadors will engage in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the financial challenges of cancer.

3. Fundraising: All funds raised by the Junior Ambassadors will be directly gifted to cancer warriors to help cover medical bills, treatment costs, and other related expenses.

4. Community Service: Ambassadors will volunteer their time and efforts to support cancer warriors in practical ways, providing emotional support and assistance

5. Mentorship: Each Junior Ambassador will receive guidance from the Cancer Cartel organization to provide guidance and support throughout their tenure in the program.





IV. Benefits for Junior Ambassadors

IV. Requirements and Time Commitments

To participate in the Cancer Cartel Junior Ambassador Program, members must meet the following requirements and time commitments:

1. Attendance: Schedule and host regular club meetings, workshops, and Cancer Cartel sessions as scheduled.

2. Event/Fundraiser Planning: Actively execute and contribute to event and fundraiser planning, including brainstorming ideas, organizing logistics, and executing and promoting the event or initiatives.

3. Action Plans: Develop and submit action plans for fundraising initiatives, advocacy campaigns, social media outreach and community service projects to the Cancer Cartel team for review and approval.

4. Follow-Up Reports: Provide detailed follow-up reports after each event or fundraiser, including financial statements, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement.

Code of Conduct: 

Our Junior Ambassadors are not just advocates; they are the embodiment of our mission and the face of our organization. As representatives of the Cancer Cartel brand, they must adhere to a high code of conduct. This means not only upholding our values of compassion, support, and dedication but also following our brand guidelines and maintaining our brand voice in all interactions. When they list us on their social media profiles or engage with the public, they bear the responsibility of representing us positively and authentically. Their actions reflect not only on themselves but on the entire Cancer Cartel community, and we trust that they will carry this responsibility with pride and integrity.


V. Participation Hour Sign-Off

Participation hours in the Cancer Cartel Junior Ambassador Program will only be signed off upon meeting the aforementioned requirements, including event and fundraiser planning, action plan submission, and follow-up report submission. This ensures that our ambassadors are actively engaged in achieving our mission and fulfilling their responsibilities.
